Turning Tables Jordan is a non-profit organization that empowers marginalized youth in Jordan through music design, film, and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to build creative environments through inspiration, learning, and transfer of technology that enables artistic self-expression in spaces where it would otherwise be thought impossible. With the provision of tools and professional capacity for creative communication, we aim to empower young refugees and the local communities to tell their own stories to a global audience.


Job Responsibilities:

The Entrepreneurship Expert & Consultant will work closely with the Programs Manager, Operations Manager, Projects Assistant, and Training and Job Matching Coordinator to provide consultancy services for Output Stream 3 of our program. This includes the following indicators:

  • Indicator O3.1: Entrepreneur Support - Number of young entrepreneurs who are supported through service provision, including mentorship and business development support using Turning Tables Jordan's Toolkit.

  • Indicator O3.2: Entrepreneurship Competence - Number of young women and men who demonstrate entrepreneurship competencies which are core to business (youth from O3.1) using Turning Tables Jordan's Toolkit.

  • Indicator O3.3: Entrepreneurship Pursuits - Supporting a percentage of young people trained within the last 12 months who have pursued starting their own business (youth from O3.2).

  • Indicator O3.4: Strong Business Plans - A percentage of youth’s business plans screened and approved as strong enough for starting their business or growing their business using Turning Tables Jordan's Strong Business Plan Builder Tool (youth from O3.2).


Responsibilities of the Entrepreneurship Expert & Consultant include:

  • Providing expert guidance and consultancy services to the young entrepreneurs who are being supported through Output Stream 3 of our program.

  • Developing and implementing a mentorship and business development support plan using Turning Tables Jordan's Toolkit for the young entrepreneurs being supported through Output Stream 3 of our program.

  • Evaluating the entrepreneurship competencies of the young entrepreneurs being supported through Output Stream 3 of our program using Turning Tables Jordan's Toolkit.

  • Supporting a percentage of young people trained within the last 12 months who have pursued starting their own business (youth from O3.2).

  • Screening and approving a percentage of youth’s business plans as strong enough for starting their business or growing their business using Turning Tables Jordan's Strong Business Plan Builder Tool (youth from O3.2).

  • Following up and providing support to the young entrepreneurs according to a clear time-block schedule.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in entrepreneurship, business administration, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in entrepreneurship, business development, or related field.

  • Proven experience in providing expert guidance and consultancy services for young entrepreneurs.

  • Knowledge of current entrepreneurship trends and best practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Fluency in English and Arabic.


Contract Type:

This position is a service provider contract tied with targets of the program's indicators and a base salary.
